General admission: 3.00€

Reduced fare: 1.50€

  • Groups of eight or more, booked a minimum of fifteen days in advance.
  • People working as cultural volunteers, with presentation of the corresponding accreditation.

Free admission:

  • Sundays, all day
  • Thursdays after 2.00 p.m.
  • 18 April (International Day for Monuments and Sites), 18 May (International Museum Day), 12 October (Spanish National Holiday) and 6 December (Constitution Day).
  • Other possible holidays of interest to museums, subject to authorisation by resolution of the Director General of Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts and the Director General of the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music.

Free admission:

For the persons listed below, upon presentation at the ticket office of the corresponding official documentation, valid and up to date, in each case:

  • Individuals under the age of 18 and over the age of 65.
  • Students between the ages of 18 and 25.
  • European youth card holders.
  • Persons with disabilities, in accordance with the definition provided in article 2.a) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2013, of 29 November, approving the Consolidated Text of the General Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and their Social Inclusion. Admission in this case is also free for the carers who are accompanying them on their visit.
  • Officially unemployed individuals.
  • Pensioners.
  • Members of large families, according to the definition given in Article 2 of Law 40/2003 of 18 November for the Protection of Large Families.
  • Members of the following entities:
  • Friends of the Museum of the Americas Association.
  • MAV Cultural Association (Association of Women in the Visual Arts)
  • Professional Association of Museologists of Spain (APME).
  • Spanish Federation of Archivists, Librarians, Archaeologists, Museologists and Documentalists’ Associations (ANABAD).
  • Spanish Association of Museologists (AEM).
  • Spanish Federation of Museum Friends’ Associations (FEAM).
  • International Council of Museums (ICOM).
  • Hispania Nostra.
  • Staff working at the Directorate General for Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts, as well as in the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofia National Museum and the National Theatre Museum.
  • Teachers, according to the provisions of Article 104 of Organic Law 2/2006 of 3 May on Education.
  • Official tour guides, while performing their duties.
  • Journalists, while performing their duties.
  • Donors of items to the museum whose collection incorporates the donated items, on presentation of the corresponding accreditation.
  • People working as cultural volunteers at the Museum of the Americas on presentation of the corresponding accreditation.

Annual admission card for the Museum of the Americas: €25.00 With this pass, you can visit the Museum as many times as you like for a year.

Annual admission card for the State Museums: €36.06 With this personalised pass, you can visit all the museums under the exclusive management of the Directorate General for Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts, the Prado Museum and the Reina Sofia National Museum and Art Centre. Valid for one year.

‘Eight Museums of Madrid’ pass: €16.00 For fifteen days, you can visit the following museums as many times as you like:

  • Museo Arqueológico Nacional
  • Museo Cerralbo
  • Museo de América
  • Museo del Traje - Centro de Investigación del Patrimonio Etnológico
  • Museo Nacional de Antropología
  • Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas
  • Museo Nacional del Romanticismo
  • Museo Sorolla
