Details on conservation work
Research is one of the Museum's basic tasks, as it is not possible to protect, conserve or adequately disseminate heritage without first knowing about it. The Museum of the Americas carries out its own research work; this involves all of the Museum’s departments, as well as other museums, research centres and universities. This research covers a wide range of subjects related to its collections, but also the history of the institution, new technologies, museum studies and our visitors.
The Museum is also committed to facilitating access to its collections to researchers who request it, provided that the security and conservation criteria of the collections allow it and without detriment to the normal functioning of the public visitor services.
