Immersion in the literary life of Madrid. He had a relationship with Ana Franca de Rojas, a married woman. His illegitimate daughter, Isabel de Saavedra, was born. He married Catalina de Salazar, born in Esquivias (Toledo).
In 1585 published the first part of La Galatea that was praised at literary circles. However, Cervantes didn’t publish the second part.
Between 1586 and 1600 Cervantes travelled along Andalucía as tax collector and supply commissioner of wheat and oil. We was jailed twice again because of problems with the accounts. This period provided him the opportunity to know the marginal world that he reflected on his novels.
His difficult and dangerous life did not prevent Cervantes from creating a solid literary opus. It started with the pastoral romance La Galatea (1585) continued with his comedies in verse (Los baños de Argel) and his prose interludes ( El retablo de las maravillas ). The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote de la Mancha (1605) makes him the most extraordinary exponent of Castilian literature and one of the most famous universal writers. The twelve Exemplary Novels including ( The Little Gipsy Girl , The Illustrious Kitchen Maid, Rinconete and Cortadillo, The Dogs' Colloquy), which appeared between 1605 and 1613 lead the way to The Journey to Parnassus (1614) and the second part of Don Quixote (1615), with The Trials of Persiles and Sigismunda completing his literary production.Salto de línea
