School-free Days at the Museo

From the Museo we’d like to help parents juggle their jobs with their children’s “school-free days”. Which is why we suggest sharing these mornings with them.

The activities organised during these “School-free Days at the Museo” are replete with emotions and new learnings: games, visits and practical workshops designed for the youngest members of the family to enjoy the experience of visiting the Museo del Traje.

Aimed at: children enrolled in school from 1st year of pre-school (3 years old) to 6th year of primary school (12 years old)

There are two activity options depending on the child’s age group:

3-5 years oldSalto de línea Masked Salto de línea This activity, designed for the youngest members of the household, is brimming with costumes, dresses, eye-masks and masks, all elements necessary for a very special ball: accompanied by the music of different instruments, with the colour and form of the costumes and the imaginative decoration of a grand salon. This is an activity that will awaken the children’s creativity and imagination.

6-12 years oldSalto de línea DecorArt Salto de línea On this workshop-visit, children will discover different ways of decorating fabrics, through printing, embroidery, appliqués -with beads, fabrics, ribbons, etc.- and will have the chance to design their own backpack. In this way, the backpack will express their tastes and personalities.

Again, there are two activity itineraries, depending on the children’s age group:

3-5 years oldSalto de línea The Little Tailor Salto de línea This activity will introduce the children to the profession of tailoring, its tools and an age-old raw material known as the “queen of all fabrics”: silk.

6-12 years oldSalto de línea A Hidden Treasure Salto de línea A Discovery of historic dimensions has taken place, revealing many of the Greek and Roman ways of life. We invite you to take part in them.
