Known for its brands Zara, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear or Bershka, in 2003 INDITEX S.A. delivered to the state the Liselotte Höhs collection of suits and textiles belonging to Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo in dation.

The collection, valued at 2,967,273.76 euros, comprises pieces designed by the artist together with others from different eras and different places around the world: Europe, the Middle East, Asia etc.

The part of the collection designed and stamped by Mariano Fortuny includes 88 pieces of clothing (particularly noteworthy are the Delphos, silk and gauze garments with decorative motifs and classical inspiration, as well as some costumes from Orson Welles’s Othello from 1934, which were used a second time in 1951 when Welles again directed the show and it opened in St James Theatre in London) and 144 pieces of different materials including silk, cotton, linen, etc.
