Ca. 1690 - 1720

On a blue silk background alternating satin and taffeta weaves. Decoration arranged in diagonal and parallel lines of branches decorated with metallic bullion thread on a silk core. Small flowers sprout from the branches created using float spans per weft in polychromatic silks. Other vegetal motifs in metallic bullion threads with a silk core also decorate the surface.

Dation: INDITEX S.A., 2003

The layout of the decoration in diagonal lines with little movement, in addition to the size and shape of the motifs, position this fragment at the end of the 17th century, introducing us into what would go on to become the undulating and weaving branches decoration of the 18th century.
