Woman's Dress, ca. 1901-1903

Belle Époque

Ensemble composed of bodice and skirt. Skirt stiffened with whalebones, loose bolero over lace chemisette. Draped corselet and golden, metal clasp with an art nouveau motif. Long sleeves, fitted to the elbow and fan-pleated below. Long skirt with a slight train and ruffled via hand-applied backstitching. On the waistband, printed in gold lettering: "Eugenia Martín/ Madrid".
