The Museo’s bibliographic collection has over 85,000 volumes, including almost 1700 magazine titles.

With a view to facilitating the in-depth consultation of the library, an analytical cataloguing process is undertaken regularly, of both periodical publications (articles), and works of a collective nature: lectures from conferences and congresses; as well as collaborations on exhibition catalogues …

  • Library and Archive of D. Luis de Hoyos Saínz and Dª Nieves de Hoyos Sancho Salto de línea Salto de línea In 1993, Don Carlos Valentí de Hoyos and Doña Andrea Vanoly Mouraret donated the personal library and archive of the man who was the driving force behind the creation of the Museo del Pueblo Español and its first director, D. Luis de Hoyos Saínz and that of his daughter, Doña Nieves de Hoyos Sancho, subsequently director of the Museo.The collection includes 2000 titles, with both Spanish and foreign periodicals, books and leaflets. TSalto de línea Salto de línea he Hispanic-American section particularly stands out for volume and diversity of subject matter, in line with the multifaceted nature of its owners.

  • Marian Library and ArchiveSalto de línea Salto de línea Acquired in 1993 through purchase from Don Jordi Fort Gaudí, this collection constitutes the largest Marian archive in Spain.Salto de línea Salto de línea The library comprises 7000 volumes, including samples from the end of the 16th century and a considerable collection of magazines. The works that pre-date 1900 are available in the Collective Spanish Bibliographic Heritage Catalogue.Salto de línea Salto de línea The "Archive" is organised in 200 boxes containing the documentation on the advocations of the Virgin in Spain, including parochial questionnaires, leaflets, photographs, prints, press cuttings… all accessible via the Museo Catalogue.
