Outreach and Communications

The Outreach and Communications Department has, as its name suggests, two roles: on the one hand, the dissemination of culture to society through public outreach, particularly in those aspects most closely associated with the Museum's contents, and on the other hand, communicating the Institution's activities.

In its first task, Outreach, the Department helps establish the criteria and contents of the Museum's permanent exhibition, as well as in those for some temporary exhibitions organised by the Museum. It also organises various types of informative activities aimed at different types of audiences. Among the latter, those aimed at children are particularly important due to their firmly established history.

With regard to the second task, that of Communications, the Department coordinates the Institution's relationship with the press, assisting them and providing them with information about the different activities carried out by the Department. It also responsible for the Museum's presence on social media, especially Facebook and Twitter, as well as managing the website.
