The Library of the National Museum of Roman Art is a specialised research centre that provides information and documentation services to Museum staff, professionals, researchers and students, as well as to members of the general public interested in furthering their knowledge of Roman and Visigothic archaeology.
The MNAR Library, in its efforts to spread the word about its mission and create synergies with other networks in its field, is a member of the Museum Library Network (BIMUS), which belongs to the Ministry of Culture and Sport. It is also listed in the Directory of Specialist Libraries and in the Map of Specialist Libraries, both initiatives coordinated by the Council for Library Cooperation.
Access to the library is free and open to anyone interested in the Museum's bibliographic collections. The collections can only be consulted in the reading room. Lending for use outside the reading room is not permitted.
