Institutional and regulation information

Museum's mission

The González Martí National Museum of Ceramics and Decorative Arts is a state owned museum and is directly managed by the Subdirección General de Museos Estatales (General Sub Department of state Museums) of the Ministerio de Cultura (Ministry of Culture).

The aim of the museum is to conserve, research and disseminate information about the ceramics, sumptuary arts and decorative arts that make up the museum collections, the building itself and its cultural context, as well as to document and promote its holdings and research of all kinds that provides evidence of our history and describes the technical, cultural and aesthetic traditions of the past.
