Intervención de conservación preventiva. Cocina valenciana

The aim of conservation at the Museum is to preserve the physical integrity of the collections. To this end, we work according to the principles of preventive conservation, which are fully integrated into the Museum's operations in order to minimise the risks to which the pieces are exposed on a daily basis inside our institution and in temporary exhibitions outside it.

We carefully manage the conditions of the collections in the warehouses and in the exhibition halls, and we take extreme precautions when packing and moving objects, always applying sustainability criteria, both in terms of energy consumption and the reuse of materials.

The restoration laboratory carries out the restoration work necessary to halt any active deterioration processes that compromise the work’s conservation and to restore objects that need to recover characteristics that have been lost, always respecting the principle of minimum intervention.
