Underwater archaeology is the science which studies, researches, interprets and publishes the material remains of the Underwater Cultural Heritage.
It enables us to learn more about shipbuilding, maritime routes and trade, underwater cities and villages, and so on.
All archaeological activities must be properly planned in several stages: preliminary documentation in archives and libraries; field work (prospecting, excavating, protecting); workshop and laboratory work (analysis, study, conservation and restoration), and finally, researching the documented materials in order to interpret them, and reach and publish conclusions.Salto de línea
