The accessibility recommendations of the Ministry of Culture were followed in the architectural project of the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology. ARQUA.

The execution and design of the museum layout have also taken into account the recommendations of the Accessibility Report of the State Centre for Personal Autonomy and Technical Assistance (CEAPAT) in Albacete.

For accessibility the interior of the museum was designed without architectural barriers, with lifts available to go between floors.

Available services

  • Wheelchairs: Wheelchairs are available at the museum entrance.
  • Adapted toilets: Adapted men's and women's toilets are available at the museum entrance, in the temporary exhibition room, in the cafe - restaurant and in the teaching and library area.
  • Guides, audio guides and sign language guides: The museum offers the services of guides, audio guides and sign language guides.
  • Auditorium: The museum offers a reservation service for auditorium seats for people with limited mobility upon request.
  • Shop: The shop offers an adapted information point, an accessible product display table, and an accessible counter at the cash desk.
  • Cafe-restaurant: Access to the cafe-restaurant on the first floor is via a lift.
