NANS - Noticiario de Arqueología Náutica y Subacuática

NANS 2022

About the magazine

NANS was created with two goals in mind: to bring together and provide an agile channel for all news related to underwater heritage and the discipline of nautical and underwater archaeology. The philosophy behind this new publication is to combine rigorous, high-quality contents with the immediacy provided by the online digital publication and free access.

Frequency

Articles will be received continuously from January to November; after a process of review, layout and categorisation, they will be published independently as offprints on the Museum's website, grouped conceptually in a theoretical annual volume.

Publication languages

Originals may be submitted in any of Spain's official languages or in English.

Copyright and open-access policy

The authors own the copyright to their works, but they authorise the Museum to provide free access to their content under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, at no cost to them. These works will preferentially be disseminated through the website of the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology, although this does not preclude the contents from being freely distributed through other media, such as academic social networks.

Exemption from liability

The data contained in each of the papers are the sole responsibility of the authors. It is also up to the authors to request the necessary reproduction rights for all graphic material accompanying the texts, in the event that they are not the owners of the said material. NANS, ARQVA and the Ministry of Culture and Sport cannot be held responsible for the unauthorised use of images or for the legal consequences of infringement of intellectual property rights.

Privacy statement

The contact details provided will be used exclusively for the purposes stated in this publication and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other person.

Code of ethics

Acceptance of articles will be based solely on scientific merit. The observance of each and every one of the ethical principles linked to editorial treatment will also be ensured, and the proposals will be managed impartially. Special care will therefore be taken to ensure that there are no conflicts of interest.
