The body of the lamp is in the shape of a truncated cone, with a sunken disc decorated with a stamped Chrismon or Chi-Rho (combining the Greek letters X (chi) and P (rho), the first two letters of Christ's name in Greek). The long spout is joined to the disc by a wide open channel.
