The Museum has a large collection that begins in time with the wrecks Mazarrón 1 and 2 and the site of the Bajo de la Camapana, phoenician period, and arrive until the 19 th century with the cargo of the frigate Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes.
The collections have been formed during fifty years of archaeological investigations and campaigns of prospecting and excavation of underwater deposits, mainly in the coast of the Region of Murcia. In recent years, we have also increased these funds with donations and deposits, both state and Autonomous Communities, thanks to the collaboration that the center carries out with other agencies. In addition, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport has attached the cargo of the wreck Nuetra Señora de las Mercedes to the stable collection .
