  • OUR LITTLE WORLD

With this tour, we want to bring children closer to objects and cultures far removed from what they know and see around them every day. Each piece will show students positive qualities from other cultures with which they can easily identify, such as the humility and wisdom of the Hindu god Ganesh, the value of true friendship in the African tale of Johari and Kilonzo and the protection and care of the environment displayed in the Americas. These stories will transmit values and introduce us to people who, although come from faraway places, the participants will feel very close to while they have a fun time travelling around ‘our little world’.

  • WELCOME TO NUNAVUT!

In this tour, we offer an imaginary voyage to Nunavut, which means 'Our Land' to the Inuit. In this faraway place, located around the North Pole, we will learn about these people and their way of life through ancestral stories and some of the pieces in the collection. Finally, we will do a creative craft activity that will help us to remember how these Arctic residents dress. Visit the North Pole from the warmth and comfort of the Museum!

This tour's destination is the Great Plains and other areas of North America, where students will be able to learn about the people who live there, their customs, their beliefs and their daily lives.
