Opening hours and prices

Un museo abierto a todos

An open museum, in every sense

The National Museum of Anthropology wishes to be an open space to and for everyone, so its opening hours are literally as long as possible, so you do not find it closed at the only time which is convenient for you to come here.

On Mondays, we close in order to carry out those indispensable maintenance jobs, renewal of the permanent exhibition and preparation and dismantlement of temporary exhibitions, without bothering you. But we are opened during the rest of the week, and most holidays in the morning. We even try to open some holidays in the afternoons so you can be free to make the most of these rest days. We are even opened some nights, on special occasions during the year, as well. We announce these extraordinary openings well in advance on this website, our Facebook page, and in our agenda. Make sure to see them.

In addition, in order to make sure that nobody is kept away from the museum for economic reasons, the ordinary price for entrance is quite low from Tuesday to Friday in the morning and it is completely free every Saturday afternoon, on Sunday, and on some special days during the year. And many people are entitled to reduced prices or free entrance because of their age or social situation. Check whether this is your case in the list below.
