In some cases, you may be interested in obtaining images of the museum's collections that either cannot be found online via the CERES.ES portal or cannot be provided immediately when you request them from the museum because we do not have them in our photographic archive. If this is your case, we offer you the opportunity to come to the museum and film or photograph the object(s) in question yourself, as long as you make your request sufficiently in advance.
The visitor regulations allow photographs to be taken inside the Museum, provided that neither flash nor tripod is used. However, if the images taken are to be used in a publication, audiovisual work or an artistic project, we kindly ask you to submit an image request and then send us a copy of the result of the work or the publication in which the image appears. If the image is being used commercially, regulations require us to authorise this. Please don’t forget this important step! If the images and videos are to be used by a media organisation, please consult the relevant procedure here
.
We must also authorise the use of any equipment and the utilisation of special conditions for filming or photography. In both cases, this is mainly for reasons of security, collection conservation and, above all, respect for the public. This is also to make it easier for you and provide any assistance we can.
If you would like to use the Museum’s spaces as a location for filming (cinema or advertising), we must apply the regulations on the use of space .
For any kind of filming and/or media photography, please send your request to: comunicacion.mna@cultura.gob.es . If possible, please include the completed press form. This document also includes a commitment to comply with the general conditions of use for the images.
