The Altamira cave is situated in an area with exceptional geology that aims to be acknowledged as a UNESCO Global Geopark. This Costa Quebrada Geopark helps us comprehend the evolution and retreat of the cliff coasts through an outstanding collection of examples of coastal forms. Additionally, it provides insight into how the territory of the Altamira people has transformed from the arrival of its initial inhabitants to the present day.
