Cupboard

Single-body cupboard made in pinewood. It has two dooers at the front, decorated with different size horizontal and vertical panels, painted in blue, white and ochre. In the upper part there are two latticed openings painted in blue.

The cupboard is crowned with cresting with the crest of the Holy Inquisition: red background with a latin cross over waters, flanked at the right with a hand holding a sword, and at the left with an olive branch. The interior is divided in five shelves, and in the central part there are three drawers.

This cupboard reproduces 18th century cabinets for pharmacy or book keeping, like the one at the Sigüenza Cathedral.

At the moment this cupboard is on loan to the Sefardi Museum, where is part of the exhibition regarding the sefardi converts, and the Inquisition's role in prosecuting false converts.
