Closely linked to the figure of the Marqués de la Vega-Inclán y Flaquer (1858-1942) and the Museo del Greco, it accompanies and serves the latter in its main objectives, providing technical support and communication mainly to monographs, journals and reference works relating to specific areas of knowledge of the figure of El Greco, the society of his time, the art of the 16th and 17th centuries and the city of Toledo. It also has an important amount of books specialized in museology and conservation.

The Library of the Museo del Greco is closed to the public due to renovation work.
