The Cerralbo Museum Foundation has enjoyed the invaluable collaboration of the Cuarteto Quiroga quartet in residence since 2007.Salto de línea Salto de línea The quartet is named after the great Galician violinist Manuel Quiroga.Salto de línea Salto de línea It is one of the most outstanding chamber music ensembles of the latest generation in Europe, and has been acclaimed internationally by critics and public alike for its audacious and refreshing performances. A prizewinner at the most prestigious international competitions for string quartet (Bordeaux, Paolo Borciani, Geneva, Beijing, Paris, etc.), and awarded the RNE Critical Eye prize and Palau de Barcelona Gold Medal, the Cuarteto Quiroga regularly perform on the most important stages in the world, from Berlin to New York, via Amsterdam, Paris, London, Stockholm, Rome, Prague, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles and many, many more. Their recordings for the Dutch label Cobra Records (Statements and (R)evolutions) have won awards from national and international critics and their concerts are recorded and broadcast by the most important radio stations in Europe and the Americas. Closely involved in chamber music instruction, they teach at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Aragon and are invited to give courses at universities and conservatories in Spain and abroad.
