The Museum of Costume. Ethnological Heritage Research Centre presents within its permanent exhibition, renovated in 2021, a clothing and attire collection that marks the evolution of fashion from the 18th century to the present. The remarkable museum funds stocked there also include the ethnography collections belonging to the non-operational Museo del Pueblo Español (Museum of the Spanish People).
By means of a careful selection of garments, contextualised to other objects, the exhibition makes visible the link between clothing and social changes, aesthetics and identity over the centuries.
