Museo de América

The Museum of America, located in Madrid, is one of the most internationally popular museums dedicated to the preservation, research and dissemination of the cultures and peoples heritage of the American continent. The museum exhibits extensive and diverse collections: pre-Hispanic archaeological objects, such as those from Peru and Guatemala; works of art from the vice regal period; and a large ethnographic display of American cultures from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Thanks to this very rich collection, the museum provides an insight into the reality of the American peoples over their thousands of years of history: their ways of life, models of society and beliefs.
