This is the story of several white women who married, had children, or formed relationships with black men in Europe during the 1930s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s. These were courageous women not just for being with people from a different race, but because of the implications it carried during a time when women were constantly controlled by a world that oppressed them and dictated what they should do.
