This Body of Mine tells the story of the friendship between Rafael and Carolina. Rafael, a trans man in the process of acceptance and reconciliation with his own body, and Carolina, his unconditional companion, undertake together the search for their square meter of peace in the world.

Director’s Statement
The only way to understand another person's reality or suffering is by working on empathy, making an active effort to put ourselves in their shoes. Society does not understand the trans community because it observes it from a distance, through continuous prejudice, blinded by its daily tasks, without making an effort to look beyond.Salto de línea Salto de línea The goal of this documentary is to bridge these worlds and show that the reality of trans people is something anyone can relate to.Salto de línea Salto de línea With This Body of Mine, the viewer will journey alongside someone who is beginning a gender transition; through this, I hope to open the minds of many, helping them understand that the challenges a trans person faces during their transition are difficulties that we can all empathize with.
