In this market programme we introduce Spanish animation at its prime. Under the brand of NEW SPANISH ANIMATION SHORTS we present eight recently made animated films - some of these just finished! Impossible love stories, epic historical revisionism with a twist, a futuristic space endeavour, a bird’s coming-of-age experience, a post-apocalyptic tribal interpretation of Spain… All sorts of techniques and approaches to film through animation! Not to be missed.
The Monkey

In 1588 a shipwrecked member of the Invincible Armada sent by Felipe II from Lisbon to conquer England is captured on a beach. There he is tried, found guilty and hanged until his death. The problem is that the prisoner is a monkey.
