Mikel Valverde

Álava, 1966

Illustrator and comic artist. His work has been featured in many fanzines and magazines. His first work as an illustrator of literature for children and young people was the book Shola y los leones by Bernardo Atxaga. His work Paula en Nueva York won the 2005 International Illustration Prize from Fundación Santa María. He writes and illustrates the series Rita y Las aventuras de Zank y Zoe. He has also won the Euskadi Illustration prize.
