Free and guided tours

In general, free visits are made to the historical headquarters of the Palace of the Viceroys, and guided visits by technical archive staff to the two headquarters of the centre.

Guided tours for groups, of an educational or informative nature, are made with prior written reservation at least 15 days in advance, and the maximum number of attendees per group is 20. In the case of minors, accompanied by a responsible person.

Visits take place from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and last approximately 60-90 minutes.

Guided tours for the public take place during the open day that coincides with International Archives Week (June 9).

Palace of the Viceroys

After the inauguration of its remodelling works in 2007, you can visit the public historical areas and the permanent exhibition on the history of the Archive and its collections. In addition, you can freely visit the temporary exhibition hall, if there are any.

It also has an assembly hall, with capacity for 120 people, and a simultaneous translation system.

Headquarters on Almogàvers Street

It has a classroom for teaching groups. In addition to the work session in the classroom, guided tours are carried out to the public and work areas of the centre.
