The Archives of the Crown of Aragon: activities

The purpose of this scheme is to disseminate documents which are important for the history of Europe and that are kept at the Archives of the Crown of Aragon. As the central repository of one of Europe’s first composite monarchies, the ACA is able to document the main historical events that have forged the construction of Europe. Thus, the Archive is both an indispensable testament and an unequalled resource for studying the construction of Europe.

The Archives of the Crown of Aragon has carried the European Heritage Label since March 2015, an award that it had already received in the intergovernmental category in 2007. This was one of a series of activities aimed at promoting the shared values that underpin European integration.
